MIRA - Competitors Course Guide

This blog is to allow competitors to share hints and tips for beginners for the MIRA venue, everything from parking, arriving, to course driving tips (subjective of course!)

MIRA Basics - Arriving / Course / Spectators

MIRA is in the research facility in Nuneaton.  It's very easy to find but you must arrive on time as they do not allow late arrivals.  You cannot bring any photographic equipment into MIRA and also no spectators are allowed.  When you arrive you will be queued outside until they open the gates.  Facilities are limited but there is a good catering van and portable toilets.  It is also very exposed so be prepared if it rains, there is very little shelter other than your car!  The course itself is a fast sprint, the right hander by the control tower is very quick and best (and pretty much only) place to spectate.  Most car's will be pulling three figures through the speed trap and into this bend.   The 2nd section after the bend consists of two left handers into a sweeping left hander over the line.
