Shelsley Walsh Hillclimb
Shelsley Walsh hillclimb is the oldest purpose-built motorsport venue
still in use anywhere in the world. It celebrated its centenary in 2005.
The track climbs approximately
300 feet in 900 yards with steep banks lining one or both sides of
the road for most of its length. It demands power from the car and
commitment from the driver, and is a favorite venue of many competitors.
Events are organised by the Midland Automobile Club.
